Plymouth Marjon student badminton club provides an inclusive opportunity to engage with badminton while studying at university.
BUCS & Competitive Badminton
With over 12 courts & 2 training sessions a week there’s a huge amount of competitive badminton to get involved with. We currently have 1 men’s team taking part in BUCS who play in the Men’s Western Tier 3A. They also take part in the Western conference cup as well as competing at the BUCS national badminton championships & Varsity. Our highest performing badminton players also compete in the Plymouth & District badminton league across the year.
We currently do not have a women’s BUCS team but are actively seeking to expand our badminton club and enter a women’s team. Our women’s team compete in Varsity and Plymouth & district local leagues alongside our men’s players.

Marjon Student Badminton Club offer a lower membership cost for those that wish to play badminton socially. Whether you’re unable to commit to regular competitive fixtures or just want to start a new sport this is a great way to get involved with physical activity on campus in an inclusive club.
Badminton Memberships
To play badminton at Plymouth Marjon university a one-off MSF membership of £50 must be purchased. The please add on the membership you require depending on the level of badminton you will be playing. Please note there is an option to upgrade your membership mid-season.
Performance £50 – includes shuttlecocks for home games, travel outside of Plymouth and membership to Badminton England, BUCs membership, training facilities & game kit.
Social - £30 – includes membership to Badminton England and training facility access.
