What do we do?
We work in the community alongside health professionals from Livewell Southwest, who provide dressing service for leg ulcer patients, to provide support and wellbeing sessions that optimise healing rates. We provide additional patient centred support to open conversations about wellbeing, and supply tools to facilitate lifestyle changes known to improve healing, such as exercises that help strengthen and boost the circulation in the legs and advice on eating a healthier diet.
How do we do it?
We work with small groups, giving participatnts a chance to be listed to and to receive personalised physical activity options (either seated or standing) and wellbeing advice.
The leg ulcer clinic is open to all participants of Livewell SouthWest's Wellbeing Lower Limb Ulcer Service.
