Plymouth Marjon University is a compact, single-site campus situated in Plymouth, on the South Coast of England. With a multi-million pound world class sports complex and onsite accommodation and catering the University is a perfect venue for clubs/sports organisations to hold a training camp.
We have a strong reputation of hosting elite sports teams. The University hosted the Ghanaian Olympic Squad prior to the London 2012 Olympics and more recently we were an official training venue for the England 2015 Rugby World Cup, hosting the Namibian team. In addition to this we have significant experience of hosting training camps for professional and elite sports teams including Bedford Blues and Plymouth Argyle.
“It’s great, the players come down and can do all the testing to get them back into shape. I’ve been to many of these days, it’s not a great day for the players but the facilities are great, and the footballers appreciate the opportunity to get their testing done.”
Wayne Rooney, First-Team Head Coach: Plymouth Argyle Football Club (May 2024-present)
"The facilities at Plymouth Marjon University were a great asset to the players during our pre season training, with the ability to use the swimming pool, climbing wall, Altitude Chamber and Biomechanics & Physiology equipment. All this combined in a modern facility with helpful staff which made for a successful visit for both our players and coaching team.”
Mark Twiggs, Head of Strength & Conditioning: Exeter Chiefs Rugby Club
