Our biomechanics and physiology laboratories are home to highly advanced equipment for elite sports performance and health and exercise research.
These include VO2 max testing, lactate threshold testing, environmental acclimation chamber, Alter G anti-gravity treadmill, CSMI humac norm isokinetic dynamometer, and golf simulator. We provide sport science testing for sport teams to predict strength, measure power, collect body compositional data and test anaerobic and aerobic capabilities.
Our students enjoy regular opportunities to use the equipment as part of their studies and conduct regular research and clinical assessments within the labs. See all our courses.
We work with our own students, schools and colleges, and elite athletes from the region. Our first-class facilities are available for use by both the public and professional sports teams.
An environmental chamber, also known as a climate chamber or environmental simulator, is used in sports science and performance research to simulate various environmental conditions,
