Our next full Open Day is taking place on Saturday 21st June. We'll be hosting our Postgraduate Open Evening on Thursday 6th February.
You'll be able to find out about every aspect of student life at Marjon during the day, including your course of interest, the application process, our accommodation and our Student Union.
We'll send you all the information you'll need after you book, but you might want to check out our key Open Day information below. If you have questions that we haven't answered here then please email visitus@marjon.ac.uk and we'll be happy to help.
We'll be sharing the event programme with you closer to the time, but our Open Days generally start at 09:30 and finish around 15:00.
The day begins with a Welcome Talk, before our course fairs, course talks, student life talks and other activities begin.
Yes, we ask for all visitors to book onto an open day to ensure that you receive all of the relevant information you need leading up to the event.
However, if your visit is more spur-of-the-moment, you’re welcome to come along and register on the day.
The day is programmed to start at 09:30 and end at 15:00, but normally people start to turn up from about 08:45 so that they can grab a drink have a look around campus while it is a bit quieter.
The day is completely flexible, and you can arrive and leave when you like. We recommend that you read your programme, sent to you in the week leading up to the Open Day, and plan around the course talks that you are interested in attending.
On arrival, please check-in at the registration point in the Main Reception.
The registration team will talk you through the programme for the day and answer any questions you may have.
Our Open Days are perfect for anyone looking at either undergraduate or postgraduate study.
Those looking at postgraduate study will have a slightly different schedule for the day, to make sure that the day is as personalised and relevant as possible. This will be shared in the lead up to the day.
No, at a Marjon Open Day you don't need to book to attend certain talks or sessions in advance. You're able to attend any and all talks and activities that you would like, and you're able to arrive and leave whenever is convenient for you.
We always recommend checking out the programme ahead of the event, so you can create a rough plan of the day that works for you, but you are free to decide on the day what talks or activities you'd like to attend.
Our campus is well connected by public transport. There are a range of buses that drop off at nearby Derriford Hospital or at the Marjon Sport and Health Centre, a short walk from our main campus.
The postcode of our campus is PL6 8BH and you can see our location on the map at the bottom of this page.
You are more than welcome to bring guests with you – it’s great to share observations and hear other people’s opinions. You and your supporters don’t have to do the same activities.
Additionally, service or therapy dogs are welcome on campus, but please let us know if you intend to bring one to the Open Day.
Parking on campus is free for Open Day attendees, but is limited. If parking is not available, we recommend using The George Park and Ride, a short bus journey or 12-minute walk away from campus.
We have free disabled parking on campus for those who have a blue badge.
Make sure to check your junk or spam inbox. Sometimes our emails end up there, unfortunately.
If you can't find anything, get in touch with us by emailing visitus@marjon.ac.uk.
We encourage you to explore the campus at your leisure, however, guided campus tours are available at set times throughout the day, led by a Student Ambassador. These times will be shared in your Open Day programme.
Our Open Houses during the Open Day are self-guided, meaning you can visit them and look around at your leisure.
Some of our students will be opening their flats to let you see the type of living spaces we have available. You can pop in and take a look at any time between 09:30 and 15:00.
We'll have staff and students on hand to show you around, answer any questions you may have, and provide you with everything you need to know about living at Marjon.
Our on-site café and shop offer a wide range of food and drink to eat in or takeaway - please visit The Hub, the Grandstand Cafe or Marjon Stores for a full range of options.
Complimentary tea and coffee will also be available on arrival in the morning, with Starbucks coffee available to purchase in The Hub.
Disability access is available across the campus, please let us know if you need any help before or on arrival.
Blue Badge holders are permitted to park anywhere on campus as long as the Blue Badge is clearly displayed in the front windscreen.
Both our Student Support and Admissions team will be available to speak to on the day, in our Student Support Zone.
You'll also be able to speak to our Accommodation, Futures and Student Funding teams, and attend Student Life talks, throughout the day.
We're sorry that you can't attend, but there are loads of ways to find out more about Marjon.
You can visit us for a Campus Tour, take a virtual tour online, or speak to our students on Unibuddy. We're also happy to answer any questions you might have - email visitus@marjon.ac.uk.
