Role Summary

Overseeing the general running and management of staff for Marjon Sport & Health centre
Jobs and responsibilities include:
  • Opening and closing the centre up
  • Pool and plant room tests
  • Carrying out the weekly plant room tasks
  • Dealing with First Aid incidents
  • Setting up and taking down sports equipment
  • Taking phonecalls, replying to emails and dealing with bookings
  • Take monthly Lifeguard training sessions, ensuring staff remain competent for Lifeguarding duties
  • Rota


Qualifications

  • BA Hons in Leisure and Tourism with Public Relations ( The College of St Mark and St John)
  • RLSS UK Qualifications Level 3 Generation 10 Award in Pool Lifeguarding, Intervention, Supervision and Rescue (Royal Life Saving Society)
  • RLSS Trainer Assessor
  • FAA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work
  • STA Level 3 Award in Pool Plant Operations
  • STA Level 3 Award Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment
  • STA Level 3 Award Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector
  • STA Level 2 Certificate in Swimming Teaching
In House Training;- COSSH, Ladder Safety, Legionella Awareness, Manual Handling


Other Interests

  • Running - in the last year I have got into Cani cross with my dog Bella. 
  • Recently brought a campervan, so looking forward to planning my first trip away in it.
  • Spending time with my family, especially my little nephew
