My classroom based research considered the use of talk in science and mathematics. I was involved with the ‘Talk Counts’ project which considered effective group size and developing collaborative group work whereby all children feel safe to engage.

Since working at the university my research interest is in ‘Giving and receiving of constructive criticism following lesson observations’. My recent poster presentation regarding this at the Teacher Education Advancement Network won the best poster at the TEAN conference 2021!
