I am a dual qualified primary school teacher and speech and language therapist. I have extensive experience working with adults with developmental and acquired conditions as well as children, adolescents and adults with DLD. I run a Parkinson’s Communication group as a placement educator and I am the lead for the Connect placement, pairing students with members of the community who have aphasia and/or other communication difficulties.
I currently work full time as a lecturer, teaching ‘Introduction to Neurogenic Communication Disorders’ and delivering lectures on other modules. I am also an admissions tutor for the SLT department and the academic lead for Year 2.
