Research

My present role makes use of my key skills in contextual and educational studies, teaching and learning in Primary and Secondary schools, development of professional roles in students and teachers and subject specialisms of Art and Design and Design Technology.

Current interests include the development of subject knowledge in Art and Design across age phases from EYFS through Primary and into Secondary, and the link between the Art and Design and Design Technology in schools.

Other Interests

  • My role in education has allowed me to take part in HEADLAMP, LPSH, SLICT, CEOP, EPICT, and SIAMs.
  • I have previously been involved as a foundation Governor in a local CofE primary school and as a Member for a Junior School Academy.
  • I have been a member of the DBE for the Truro Diocese and a member of SACRE for Cornwall, for Devon, and for Plymouth (Chair for 2 years), taking a Group B role.
