Marjon alumna Victoria Rentería has received an honorable mention in the Master Dissertation Awards 2015 run by the British Council.
The Master Dissertation Awards is a prestigious nationwide competition involving home and international postgraduate students from 24 UK universities.
Victoria completed her master’s programme with Marjon – the MA TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) - in 2015.
She is now a lecturer in the Department of Languages at ITESO, the Jesuit University in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Her dissertation, entitled 'Becoming Blended: A Case Study in Teacher Identity', explored the challenges presented by working in a blend of face-to-face and online modes.
Maria Graczyk from the British Council said the study represented ‘an important contribution to the field of teaching English’.
