Marjon readies international cadets for officer training courses

Marjon offers a range of courses to support and advance careers within the Armed Forces, these include courses for UK personnel as well as officer training courses for International Defence Forces.
We have hosted officer training for the Royal Navy of Oman for 30 years and this year we welcomed our first group of Naval Officer Cadets from the Qatari Emiri Navy. The Officer Cadets trained with us for 12 weeks in preparation for the International Officers course at Britannia Royal Naval College in Dartmouth. Their training included English language, maritime, navigation, leadership and physical training as well as cultural visits and adventure activities in South Devon.
Our course manager, ex-Royal Navy Commander David Ward said: “The Officer Cadets did extremely well in their studies and in developing their language skills. We wish them every success in their continuing officer training and are delighted to be in discussion with the Qatari Emiri Navy about running this course again”.
