Plymouth Marjon University has ranked joint third in England for student satisfaction, out of 130 institutions, in The Complete University Guide 2022. The results were published on Tuesday 8 June 2021.
Marjon also ranked highly across several subjects, placing 1st in England for student satisfaction for Speech and Language Therapy. This result was achieved with the help of Marjon’s on-site clinic facilities with a specialist speech lab, including state-of-the-art equipment for voice swallowing and speech analysis.
Following the high rankings, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Academic, Ian Luke, said: “The guide highlights how the university will always put students first and that there is a synergy in how staff and students at Marjon work together.
"Graduates leave the university knowing what is negotiable and non-negotiable in their lives, knowing what they wish to do with their lives and how to get there. All of this comes from having strong values and a passion for education and future careers.”
Marjon also ranked:
The University’s cutting-edge sport science lab is the only one in the South West to be accredited by the British Association of Sport & Exercise Science (BASES).
The guide concludes: “Marjon prides itself on a personalised and student-centred approach, focused on helping every student to fulfil their potential.”
Following the results, Marjon Vice-Chancellor, Rob Warner, said: “When Marjon says we are ‘centred on student success’ it’s not just words, we really mean it. These latest fantastic results demonstrate that we really listen to students during their studies to empower their success in every way.
"Beyond university we continue to be there for our students, working hard to support their graduate careers. Every year at Marjon our student ratings just get better and better, and that makes me very proud of all our dedicated staff.”
