Plymouth Marjon University is thrilled to announce that it has been ranked no.4 in the UK for Career Prospects at the WhatUni Student Choice Awards 2023. The University also secured a UK top ten spot in the Student Support and Lecturers and Teaching Quality categories.
The WhatUni Student Choice Awards set themselves apart from other awards and league tables by letting the real experts – the students – nominate and judge the universities. With over 240 higher education institutions nationwide, this year's awards generated over 35,000 verified student reviews, making it one of the most comprehensive and diverse sets of student opinions in the UK. The annual event showcases the best universities and colleges in the country, as voted for by the students themselves, across 12 different categories.
Plymouth Marjon University has a strong focus on employability, and this latest ranking in the Career Prospects category is a testament to the University's commitment to ensuring that its graduates are well-prepared for the world of work. The University's Futures team offer students a wide range of support, including one-to-one career advice, employer events, and job fairs.
In addition to the Career Prospects ranking, Marjon also achieved top ten positions in the UK in two categories: Student Support and Lecturers and Teaching Quality, and no.14 in the UK for Student Life. These categories reflect the University's dedication to providing a supportive and engaging environment for its students.
Professor Michelle Jones, Interim Vice-Chancellor of Plymouth Marjon University, said:
