Plymouth Marjon University has had another successful year of results in the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey 2022 (PTES). The University ranked 1st out of UK Universities for assessment.
This is the third year in a row the University has claimed the top ranking in this category. Marjon was also ranked 3rd for Support for Students, 4th for Teaching, and 6th for skills development in the 2022 survey.
The Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) is the only nationwide survey in the UK's higher education sector that asks taught postgraduate students about their learning and teaching experiences.
The survey supports prospective postgraduate students gain an understanding of students’ experience in Higher Education Institutions in key areas such as teaching and learning, engagement, assessment and feedback, organisation and management, and skills development.
Professor Michelle Jones, the Interim Vice-Chancellor at Plymouth Marjon University, said:
“This is another success story from Marjon, with our ratings continually rising year after year. We are a student-centred institution; our goals are for every student to have a sense of belonging in our small community learning environment and for every student individually to be able to recognise and realise their full potential.
“As these fantastic results demonstrate, a well-designed and well-executed assessment system can contribute significantly to the quality of the student experience and to student success overall. The dedication and knowledge of academic and professional services staff alike, which has resulted in these amazing outcomes, is truly remarkable.”
These results support similar surveys released in 2022, where Marjon was rated 1st in England for student satisfaction (Complete University Guide 2023), 1st in England for social inclusion (Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2023) and 5th University of the Year (WhatUni Student Choice Awards 2022).
Plymouth Marjon University delivers a range of postgraduate programmes from masters to PhD opportunities all across a broad variety of subject areas.
