Plymouth Marjon University has announced the appointment of Ann Holman, currently the CEO of Engaged Communities CIC, as its new Chief Digital, Data and Technology Officer. Ann is well known to the digital community in the South West, and has wide ranging experience managing large digital projects within the utilities, water and local government sectors.
This position at Plymouth Marjon University will be focused on delivering an exciting new phase of development for the University, investing in better data, systems and technology to support both student and staff experiences.
The new position will report directly to the Vice-Chancellor and CEO of the University, Professor Claire Taylor, who said: “I am delighted that Ann Holman will be joining Marjon. Ann is an exceptional digital leader and is joining us at an exciting time for the University. We will be launching our new strategy, Marjon 2030, in the Autumn and at its core will be a commitment to developing as a digitally- enabled, connected community. Ann brings the right vision, experience and skills to enable us to achieve our ambitions and we look forward to welcoming her in June.”
As a consultant for PwC and Accenture, Ann has worked with large organisations to deliver rapid and transformational digital change. More recently, Ann has managed the design, development and product launch of a new community technology - GoVolunteering software - which has helped to recruit and match 6500 volunteering opportunities for more than 150 organisations across Plymouth and Exeter, and is now planning to scale across the UK. Ann is also an experienced Trustee at both Devon Community Foundation, and Devon Air Ambulance, where she chairs the Digital and Technology Committee.

Ann Holman will join Plymouth Marjon University as Chief Digital, Data and Technology Officer in June 2024.
