Ben Proud swims to World Champion title

Ben Proud, a recent Sport Development student at Marjon, powered to a gold medal at the World Championships in Budapest. He lowered his own British record to win the 50m butterfly final in 22.75 seconds.

Ben was formerly on our Elite Sports Scholarship scheme which offers a blend of financial and practical support to athletes of a national or international standard so they can study for a degree and pursue their sporting ambitions.
